Power Strip Designed To Curb Unnecessary Consumption

A new power strip being marketed by Japanese manufacturer Sanwa integrates toggle switches for individual outlets, such that users can minimize the unnecessary use of power. The device also incorporates as a wattage meter to that calculates the sum total of energy consumption over time, giving users at-a-glance feedback about their consumption through an LCD screen.
