Power Napping At Google

Power Napping At Google

By Naresh Kumar on June 21, 2010

PSFK wrote about the power of napping a few months back. Turns out that Google has installed this cool system for allowing its employees to take a power nap. A writer from the Financial Times snapped the above pic of this sleep pod at the Googleplex, the corporate headquarters of Google in Mountain View, California.

This EnergyPod is made by Metronaps and is ergonomically designed to be installed anywhere, providing semi-privacy without being overly enclosing.

It has a built-in music player with headphone jack to eliminate distractions from outside and a timer in the arm rest to wake the user gently with a combination of lights and vibration.

EnergyPod seems to be a great way to give your employees a place to rejuvenate and come back more productive.
