YouTube Introduces A Cloud-Based Video Editor

By Naresh Kumar on June 17, 2010

YouTube has introduced a new cloud-based video editor on its site which allows users to trim videos and combine multiple clips into a single composite. Using the YouTube Video Editor simply involves dragging the thumbnail views of a video to the filmstrip at the bottom of the page, and hovering the mouse pointer over an image which will produce a scissors icon. Clicking on this icon will let you trim the parts of the video you don’t want. Before saving it to your collection, you can preview a low-resolution version of the final cut. The editor also gives the option to add music files from the site’s audio library. The new videos will have the usual options for titles, tags and sharing permission.
