Quirky’s Crowdsourcers Design Flexible Power Strip

By Naresh Kumar on July 1, 2010

Last year, PSFK published an article on Quirky, the “social product development company” that relies on its user base for its products’ designs. They have now designed a new product and are close to starting its production. The Pivot Power, proposed by design student Jake Zien, is an adjustable electrical power strip that flexes around into circular, semi-circular, and zig-zag shapes to give access to all the power adapters hooked onto it without blocking space for any of the others. Pivot Power has six individually articulated power outlets, a surge protection feature and comes in both American and European versions.
