Earth-Like Exoplanet Could Be Discovered Early Next Year
If the prediction by two space researchers, Samuel Arbesman and Greg Laughlin, comes true, we may soon find the existence of an Earth-like planet as early as next year. Using Moore’s Law of Exponential Growth as a basis to study past progress on discovering planets and develop predictions for a planet similar in size and habitat to Earth, they found that there is a 50 per cent chance of the first exo-Earth to be discovered by May next year.
