The immensely popular deal-of-the-day website Groupon is starting a dating service called Grouspawn and has launched a very unusual promotion for it; anyone who uses a Groupon on his or her first date and can prove it with evidence like a photo or a credit card statement will receive a $60,000 grant for their child. Groupspawn’s dating service will be free and it will be interesting to see how the company uses its main business of selling coupons in its new service.
