Personal Car Rental Service Comes To California

After Whipcar pioneered the neighborhood car rental service in London, it’s now time for Caifornians to make some money by renting their personal cars, thanks to a new service started by Spride Share. The service allows car owners in the state to offer their vehicles to people who have already been screened by the service. A device installed in the vehicle records the mileage and access times and the renters are responsible for any traffic violation while they are driving. The company provides supplemental insurance to cover both the parties as well as the car itself.

Spride Share launched a pilot service involving a few vehicles last week.
