Thanks To The Internet, No Snow Days For Students In Ohio
If a new education program currently being tested in a rural Ohio school district is successful, students in the state’s Darke County will no longer be able to enjoy Snow Days, when school is called off because of heavy snow and inclement weather. The Mississinawa Valley Schools are planning to replace these days off with online learning. The officials claim that not only will it help students to continue with their daily classes, it will also prepare them for college, where online courses are increasingly common. No prizes for guessing how students feel about the new policy.
