80 Gigapixel Panorama Of London Skyline Currently The Largest In Existence

By Don Michael Acelar De Leon on November 19, 2010

Photographer Jeffrey Martin snatches the world record for the largest 360 degree photograph with his 80-gigapixel picture of the skyline of London, taken from the Centre Point building using a digital SLR camera and a custom-built camera mount.

Composed of 7886 high-resolution shots, the picture has a total size of 400,000 x 200,000 pixels, which is over 16,000 times bigger than an iPhone 4 photo. If printed, the image would stand at 35 meters long and 17 meters tall.

The whole 360 image may be viewed here.
