A Bio-Rhythmic Light And Sound Show
Recently, the Open House Gallery in New York hosted a unique interactive installation that relied on its visitors’ bio-rhythms to create art. Emergence, the brainchild of Sean Montgomery, used a viewer’s heart beat to create streaks of light, vibration and sound in the sculpture and in the gallery space.
Montgomery, who collaborated with Mustafa Bagdatli and Diego Rioja for this project, says this about his mixed media sculpture:
The work draws parallels between the human body and the infrastructure of the digital age, inviting the viewer to think about the ways in which we are connected to one another and world around us.
