One Of The First Apple Computers To Go Up For Auction
For just $200K, you can now own a piece of early computer history. Christie’s of London is auctioning one of the first Apple computers originally sold in 1976 by Steve Jobs from his parents’ garage. Apple-1 came out with an 8K memory (compared to the 64 GB RAM of today’s Mac Pro) and a read-write capability. The lucky buyer will get this historic machine in its original packaging, along with instruction manuals and a signed letter by Jobs himself.
For those interested in a little trivia, the computer was designed by Apple’s co-founder Steve Wozniak and was sold for $666.66. Only 200 of these systems were produced, of which very few survive now.
