Twitter Introduces Paid Ads In Users’ Timeline
Twitter is adding yet another advertising model into its micro-blogging platform by publishing ads in the Twitter streams of individual users. Interestingly, these new form of paid ads will show up in a user’s Twitter stream irrespective of whether or not he is following the advertiser; in fact, Twitter will target users based on the people and products they already follow. The company will initially show paid ads only to those who manage their Twitter accounts using HootSuite, the widely used social media dashboard.
The paid tweets feature in users’ streams comes just months after Twitter introduced its Promoted Tweets and Promoted Trends ad products.
