How OK Go Makes Music Profitably Without A Record Label
Grammy Award-winning rock band OK Go is one of those rare groups that have lately found success not by selling albums, but by getting corporate sponsorships and promoting their songs through video sharing sites. The band, which parted ways with EMI sometime back, has now produced several popular music videos, and through them, promoted brands such as Samsung, Range Rover and State Farm who are only too happy to pay OK Go in return for a credit at the end of their musical clips.
Here is a video of the band performing an 8.5-mile musical parade through Los Angeles using Range Rover’s Pulse of the City app to track their movement.
