Quantifying Life [Video]
While the benefits of self-tracking might not be obvious to everyone, there are many creative outcomes that can come about by monitoring our daily behavior. Nicholas Feltron is one such person that has developed creatively designed Personal Annual Reports out of his life, turning his experiences into content and data.
His tools include his calendar, notebook, and pedometer. He records everything from money spent, events attended, transportation used, nutrition intake…etc. Naturally, Nicholas is also known as the co-founder of Daytum, which is a company that helps its community collect, categorize, and community everyday data.
Slate recently posted a video interview with the life-tracking pioneer:
Feltron also gave a great talk at our conference in New York earlier this year.
Slate: “Life as Annual Report How one data tracker lives by the numbers.”
