Wind Cubes: A Modular Power Plant For The Home

Wind Cubes: A Modular Power Plant For The Home

By Michael Ellenbogen on December 6, 2010

The Wind Cubes modular turbine concept offers a potential method to generate renewable energy on a small scale. Industrial designers Liao-Hsun and Wen-Chih have come up with the design, which would be able to take homes off the grid by producing 21.6KWh of electricity — multiplied by around 15, these connectible units would be sufficient to power an average sized home. The Cubes can be attached to the outside wall of a building with three simple screws and a mechanism for connecting with other units.
